Ten backup codes were issued when you enabled two-factor authentication. Each works once and replaces the six-digit code on the verification screen.
- 1On the verification screen, choose « Use a backup code ».
- 2Enter any code you have not used yet.
- 3Once signed in, open your **Profile** and generate a fresh set: backup codes live there, not in the company settings.
No screen removes a second factor, neither yours nor an administrator's of your company: a service able to do it on request would become the weakest link in your authentication. That is why your backup codes are the real spare key, and why they belong outside your browser and outside the device that carries the factor.
